I started 2913 Designs after I caught a swarm of bees in my backyard. I learned more about bees and how incredible they are and I began to fall in love with them. I experimented with making my own beeswax candles and I absolutely loved the natural beeswax smell. All of the benefits of beeswax were so appealing to me, I had no idea that beeswax emits negative ions to help purify the air! I was sold on using beeswax at home because my entire family suffers from severe allergies. My husband struggles with his allergies, but he is the biggest candle lover of the family! For us, it was difficult to find candle fragrances that didn't exacerbate everyone's allergies.

I found a few companies that were on a mission to provide high quality fragrances, without all the extra chemicals that can cause headaches. I began experimenting with these fragrances, and used my family as my testers! Any fragrance that irritated them, was not put in these collections. If they irritated my family, they most certainly would bother others like them who struggle with allergies.

 

It was 2021 when the supply chain was struggling with consistency and almost all candle vessels were out of stock. I had finally decided on a style of candle....and I couldn't get my hands on it. I started to dip my toes into making my own cement vessels for my candles. I loved this process! Not only could I make exactly what I wanted, but I could easily customize vessels for customers who were looking for something specific to fit their home.

Every product I create is made with care and attention to detail. As a mom of two, I know how important it is to have quality products that last.
